About Kindred Dog Training
Before adopting my first rescue dog Bonnie I had visions of all the things I would do with my dog : leisurely off lead walks at the beach, socialising with other owners and dogs, and a calm house dog.
When I brought Bonnie home I soon realised those nice visions I had for my dog were never going to be a reality and I felt totally in over my head with how she behaved.
I've set up Kindred to help those owners who are just like I was - who loved their dog, but didn't know what to do and were stressed by their dog's behaviour.
The training methods I use are all family friendly and kind to the dogs, keeping their personality, spirit and joy of life intact.
Training should be about improving our life and the dog's life so we can coexist more easily and they are a joy to take out and about - it's not about turning our dogs into robots that execute commands!
This is why I use modern and scientifically backed reward based training methods.
How Kindred best serves it's clients
As part of my ethos I take part in CPD (continuing professional development) which means I continue to learn and keep up to date with the latest in dog training, and improve my training skills and knowledge through attending seminars, workshops, watching lectures and studying books.
As an Assessed and Qualified Member of The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers I am proud to display the UK Dog Behaviour & Training Charter symbol.
This is to ensure that my clients both humans and dogs get the best training and care possible and is receiving the most relevant and up to date advice and expertise.
